Mimir's Well II - an A&S and Martial Arts Collegium
Her Most Royal and Gracious Majesty Alethea is planning to join us for this event.
Saturday, November 8th, 2008
Hosted by Shire of Mountain Freehold - ( Warren, VT )
Parched for Knowledge? Come take another drink from Mimir's Well. We'll have a wide variety of A&S and martial classes, as well as an open exhibition of the work of our artisans and scholars (particularly around a Crusades theme, in honor of TRM Darius and Alethea, but all works are welcome!), an Artist's Meet-and-Greet during the delicious dayboard prepared by the Freehold Cooks Guild, and a chance to relax and socialize over delicacies donated the Freehold Cooks at our end-of-day reception, including our doorprize raffle!
Martial classes will be held in the gym, and pick-ups and informal teaching will take place outside, weather permitting. We have numerous classrooms available, including a messy arts room, and a music/performance room available for out-of-the-ordinary classes, and can also accommodate your Guild or Official Business meetings; teachers and organizers should please contact Lady Albreda (AlbredaA@aol.com) by Oct 18th. Classes that will allow youth participation will be particularly welcome!
Class schedules and further details (including about possible discounts available with local B&B's) will be posted at MountainFreehold.org as they become available. Nap/nursing and play-space will be set aside for our youngest guests, and parents are expected to provide supervision for their own families. The site is dry, and no open flames are allowed.
Her Royal Majesty Alethea Eastriding, who will be gracing us with Her
presence on Saturday at Mimir's Well II, has decreed that collections of
non-perishable foodstuffs for donation to local food shelves is a Good Thing, so if you can bring something with you this weekend, it would be awesome.
For those more inclined to bake than to buy, please think about
bringing something to the dessert potluck reception being held right after HRM's
